Since distressed denim jeans have reached cult status, isn’t it only wise to be able to wear them year round, even in the hottest, sweltering days of August? I bought these Zara distressed, or should I just say destroyed jeans, a few months ago and I have been stopped on the streets so many times by people asking where I got them. For a pair of jeans so distressed I was a bit taken back but looks like people love their hole-y jeans. So I have this rule I made for never wearing jeans in summer that I had to break. I mean, How could I watch this pair of jeans with their seductive subtle crop sit in my closet. My favorite partner for these distressed jeans is a crisp white button down shirt, but given the August heat, I’ve settled for simple white tees.

I paired this pair of Zara jeans with a Balmain sleeveless tee and Céline sandals that I am still breaking in, my love for them will see us through this difficult time. My favorite shoe pairing is with my Stella McCartney flatforms, there is something alluring about an elevated, exposed ankle, ankles need some more spotlight. When I shop for denim, I carefully look for the right cut and soft fabrics. So far I’ve been getting lucky with my purchases, but I recently hit a wall, which is ok because I may have reached my limit for distressed denim.

Hope everyone had a great weekend, cheers to an amazing week!
