Vacationing is fun, packing on the other hand for me, not so much fun. On my last vacation, I was traveling to destinations with different environment and with a different climate so that made it a bit trickier. I had to plan for city dressing, safari camp dressing, and desert dressing. I found that narrowing it down to basics and essentials made it less tasking. One essential that I was particularly fond of is my white linen dress that I had just acquired.

The minute I saw this long white Pomegranate dress, the words jet set and chic quickly filled my brain. I mean how Naomi-Campbell-on-a-yatch-in-St.-Barths is this dress? It screams easy-breezy vacation dressing, who is not a fan of that? This dress seemed to solve a few conundrums I encounter while on vacay. Such as, with this Pomegranate dress if it got too hot in the dessert, no problem I’ve got my linen dress, if I ate too much, no problem just ditch the cute tie-belt, if I need to cover up poolside, no problem, you get it right. The fabric is ever so soft, softer than most of my other long dresses, and the delicate blue embroidery on the front of the dress give it a unique look. It comes with a slip, so I could wear it out to the Maasai village without offending anyone. It also served as a cover up around the safari camp after a quick swim. When I was staying out in the desert in Dubai, I wore the dress more than a handful of times. Now that I own one, I don’t know why I went so long without a white linen dress. I’m so happy that I now have perfect vacation piece in my wardrobe. I have a feeling I will be wearing it a lot when I’m home as well, double win.

What is a vacation essential you alway pack?
