I don’t know about the Zara stores close to you, but the one I frequent is always jam packed and forget about making it to the fitting room. My trips to Zara are now more rare than frequent. A few days ago I had a few hours to kill in the morning and decided to walk into Zara right when they opened. It was quiet, calm and organized, bringing back my old Zara in-store experiences, pleasant. If you can believe this, I made it to a fitting room with half a dozen items. I walked out with only two carefully picked items, one of them was this brilliantly red Zara dress, one that could evoke Apple’s lady-in-red-emoji feelings (as demonstrated by the 1st ‘feeling myself’ pic). The dress’ fabric is super light making it a perfect day-to-night on a hot day, and the bright color gives it just enough pizzazz to wear without jewelry.

Accessorized the dress with a colorful mini Valentino bag and Tom Ford heels. Just realized this is the first time I am wearing these Tom Ford heels for a blog post, but I’ve worn them quite a bit out to dinners mostly. The gold details on the sandals are so unique and true to Tom Ford’s esthetic. Give me gold on anything and I’m pretty much sold. It took some time to adjust the straps for a comfortable fit, but after that first adjustment, it’s just another pair of heels waiting for you to slip on. Living in NYC has gradually turned me into a flats-type of person, I’m I happy about that? Not really, but for these ultra-fierce Tom Ford heels, I am again learning how to last all day wearing high heels. For now I will cab it everywhere just to get to wear these, it requires good planning for the night. This dress-heels combo is a perfect example of the type of easy dressing I want for my entire wardrobe.
