Shampoo – Rahua

Conditioner – Rahua

My friend introduced me to Rahua (ra-wa) a few weeks ago after I told her about my insatiable quest for all beauty products that are 100% natural. I did some research and decided to give the  Rahua shampoo and conditioner a shot. The packaging was so pretty that I even took pictures before I use.

To me, Amazon beauty conjures up images of women with long, thick, lustrous hair, I have no idea where else I got these images other than the magic box we call a television. But think about it, don’t women from Amazonian tribes have gorgeous hair? Genetics? Maybe, but some of it has to be a secret in their hair care routine. Yes, there is a secret hair care ingredient that is indigenous to the Amazon rainforest, it’s called Rahua! The Quechua-Shuar tribes travel to the Amazon rainforest, harvest the Rahua nut and use the nut to prepare a super potent Rahua oil. The women of the Quechua tribe then shared the ingredient, which was used to start the Rahua Amazon Beauty line. The whole process of preparing Rahua oil is pretty interesting, it’s an art form, an ancestral family affair, read more here and even watch a short video.

Knowing where my beauty products come from and how they are prepared is important, I really appreciated all the information presented upfront. I have used the Rahua shampoo and conditioner only twice so far, and my hair feels revitalized. I could not stop touching and looking at my hair when I finished shampooing and conditioning, it felt super soft, and my hair cuticles were greatly smoothed. I almost rescheduled my hair appointment to get my ends trimmed; that’s how much better my hair felt and looked. You only need a small amount of the shampoo and conditioner so that kind of justified the price for me.

If you’re in search of that Amazonian beauty, give Rahua a try and let me know what you think.

Happy hump day!
