When it comes to my hair routine I want it to be pretty much like my beauty routine, the less I do the better. Only problem, kinky-curly hair requires a lot of tender loving care, so this forced me to learn how to properly care for it. Hair products play a vital role in good care and through countless trials and errors I have amassed a shameful amount of hair serums, portions and concoctions, but at least I now know what works for me. SheaMoisture is one of the holy grail lines for me and many kinky curlies out there, it’s amazing how well it works (read a bit more on their products and history here). Their products keep my hair moisturized and soft whether it’s winter or summer, it’s the one line I never completely swap out in my seasonal-product rotation. If you ever see me carrying a cute sturdy Colette shopping bag then I must be to or from the hair salon, toting SheaMoisture shampoo, conditioner and leave-in, unless in Paris.

Another great thing I have learned is how to take care of my scalp, nourishing it with the right products, starting with this swedish scalp shampoo, Sachajuan (you can also learn more about this line here). I replace my regular shampoo with this Sachajuan shampoo about twice a month and it does wonders, leaves my scalp squeaky clean. A clean healthy scalp has resulted in my hair growing faster than it ever has my entire adult life, eating clean has some to do with it too, but that’s a whole different post.

All products are free from parabens and phthalates.

Have a wonderful Thursday!
