When Nicholas Ghesquière debuted his first Louis Vuitton collection, the fashion world breathlessly anticipated to see what he would do with LV. Would he completely change the house or would he continue Vuitton’s legacy? So March came along and down the runway went the new LV F/W 2014 collection, and it indeed stayed true to the LV roots, but with the Ghesquière twist. I remember seeing the Petite Malle bags and thinking of how the designs exuded 21st-century workmanship.
It wasn’t until I went into an LV store looking for a pair of Cruise 2015 shoes (that’s another story) that this little yellow beauty caught my eye. The story behind the inspiration for this bag was so endearing that I couldn’t stop thinking about the bag when I returned home and had to go back for it. Ghesquière was inspired by Vuitton’s son’s collection of African masks, how endearing right? I’ve carried this little gem everywhere. I was taking a break from bags, but this cute little mask bag, which is also my first LV bag, has quickly become a favorite (as proven on my Instagram page).
I chose an all black outfit because this bag deserves the spotlight. With this outfit, I decided to take a chance on Wolford’s sheer-back bodysuit. When it comes to basics and hosiery, Wolford has the best I have found, they feel so soft against your skin. Thanks Wolford for helping me flash some skin while keeping my modesty intact.
Do you guys have favorites from the new Louis Vuitton?
Happy Hump Day and thanks for visiting!!!
