I try not to regret anything in life, but this green Band of Outsiders dress almost makes me regret avoiding green for the majority of my adult life. I don’t know why I found wearing green to be a fashion no on me. I’m guessing my dislike for green has something to do with having to wear a green uniform for almost three years at a Catholic boarding school. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t that bad in boarding school, I just hated having to wear a uniform, and that uniform was as green as green gets. I just went through life saying “green is not a good color on me” out of sheer habit.

When I started re-building my closet, this Band of Outsiders dress was one of the first dresses I bought. The delicate silk-satin fabric makes for a chic, feminine and intrinsically playful combo and what woman doesn’t love that fit and flare silhouette? I decided I would give this army-green hue a test drive and loved it. This Band of Outsiders dress teamed with simple pumps and Dior bag give me an instant Sunday Best like we are ready for church baby. Once I decided to open my closet doors to green, I’ve taken quite a penchant for the palette and have acquired a few green items. I plan on styling this dress with anything from sandals to colorful sneakers.
