Ever since childhood I was fascinated by 2-piece bikinis, I still see those images from the 90s of super babes in their bikinis, oh, how I dreamt about wearing sexy bikinis. Seriously, to me, bikinis were a powerful visual statement. For me, bikinis were only an obsession that would never materialize. I could never see myself wearing them because (wait for it, TMI coming up) growing up I had an ‘outie’ (belly button that sticks out). I never saw women with ‘outies’ wearing 2-pieces, ever, at least not on TV. This conclusion devastated me every time I looked in the mirror I thought “I’ll never be able to wear a bikini with my outie.” Well I grew up, my outie magically got sucked in, and I wore all sorts of bikinis I could get my hands on.

Then there was the resurgence of the monokini, you know, a one-piece with lots of cut-outs. I resisted buying a one-piece long enough. That was until I laid eyes on this Agent Provocateur monokini, hence leading me to hit the fashion-rewind button to one-pieces I wore as a kid, only this time edgier. This monokini came in the most dramatic colors that saying “No” to it was impossible. This Agent Provocateur Mazzy swimsuit has that effortless sexy factor you don’t get with a two-piece swimsuit. I wore it around Miami as a top with crochet shorts and a mesh top. Any woman needs a monokini in their life and not to hide anything but to flaunt her assets, sometimes a hint is all you need. It’s not all about how it looks, but about how you feel, and I felt pretty good in this monokini.

Happy Monday, have a great week!
