In this financial climate I have started qualifying numerous items on my wish list as investment pieces. A tactic I’ve found works when validating buying whatever I’m craving.
I have good rationalizations for why all my investment pieces are investments, for instance the tan Gucci platform heels are comfortable and I can wear them with anything (duh they’re tan) and they are the epitome of stylish. Investment!
Oh and those black open-toed fringed Alexander Wang booties will be a staple in my wardrobe because first they are tri-seasonal. Investment!
The exuberant-poppy fushia Matthew Williamson blazer. I can wear it over all my basic
Palette clothes. Investment!
That reversible missoni knit bikini that I still cannot find, key word REVERSIBLE. The perfect bikinis are always an investment!
Silver and black Giles bag / clutch that is efficiently practical and it can fit everything I own and then some. And I can literally tote it anywhere, it’s a two for one. Investment!
Etcetra and the list goes on. My simple motto is if I want it and keep thinking about it, it’s an investment.
