Denim has remained a constant in my wardrobe and life, so every chance I see a variation or twist to denim I’m intrigued. With Marques’ Almeida, I was more than intrigued and could not wait to get my hands on the deconstructed, frayed-hemline pieces. Can we say raw-denim chic? A bit on the line, Marques’ Almeida was founded by Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida in 2011, who are based in London. With a bevy of awards under their belt, Elle UK dubbed Marques’ Almeida as the “new go to label for distressed denim.”

They were discovered by Opening Ceremony, where I coincidentally stumbled upon the line in the men’s department. I had been looking everywhere, so the day I bought it was a lucky day. I went with the men’s tunic to wear as a dress, I was really into the exaggerated oversized silhouette, but the women’s dresses as just as delish. Plus practical pockets means, I didn’t need a handbag. I already have two more pieces on their way, since I found out that Net-a-porter now carries the brand. It made perfect sense to pair this dress with the insanely comfortable Céline flatforms. So now you know, get into it, and get ready for lots of outfit ID questions.

Thanks for visiting and have a good rest of the week!
