Hola from Miami! We shot this Tibi midi skirt day ways away from Miami. This look is from one cloudy NYC day. Nothing can brighten up a cloudy day like a floral midi skirt, put the thing on, twirl a bit, and all is right with the world, pure exuberance. I am secretly starting to hoard Tibi skirts, I mean hello, where have they been all my life? All those disappointing pencil-skirt moments or hike-up-minis, where was this full skirt? Those questions do not matter anymore because I finally found my perfect skirt silhouette, a piece with a powerful visual statement.

I’m obviously writing about a skirt with unusual (or usual, not sure) zeal. The reason is that I landed in Miami today, but not to worry I always profusely declare my love for midi skirts to anyone who will listen and you my loves will not be spared. I paired this Tibi skirt with a muted white Club Monaco sweater and black Saint Laurent heels. Sometimes you have to let statement piece take the spotlight. Midi skirts may bid to demure style, but there is so much you can do with them. You can pair them with crop tops, tuck in simple white tees, the options are endless. And did I mention pockets, so you can leave your purse at home. If you waited patiently, you might be able to score the best of what the midi world has to offer with the sales.
