Sandals – Alexander Wang ( Similar, I need these)
Bag – Louis Vuitton
Summer ’16 has been a fun-filled one, maybe a little too much fun upon realizing all my short shorts were a bit too tight. I place the blame solely on my trip to Kenya earlier this summer, where I indulged in many a good home-cooked meal. So, instead of giving up on shorts all together for the rest of summer, I decided to find a vintage oversized Levi pair. I know, I know, sometimes oversized / boyfriend silhouettes are unflattering and altogether make you look bigger than slim/regular fits, but hey, I had reached my “don’t care” phase. Let’s be honest August in the city wearing anything other than shorts, or a flowy dress is agonizing.
If you have been following me on Instagram, then you know another thing I’ve been indulging on is Gucci. Gucci fur slippers, Gucci loafers, Gucci skirts, Gucci monogram, I’ve completely lost it, a lost case if you will. Anyways, check out this Gucci butterfly top I recently got, the fabric is mostly lace (read breathable), but not-the-too-girly lace. I don’t particularly have a thing for butterflies, but guys, the beautiful embroidered butterfly on the front is spectacular. Such beautiful craftsmanship and on a t-shirt. Continuing with this post’s theme of ‘dressing the part summer ’16, ‘ I couldn’t be happier to get a hold of these Alexander Wang sandals. They are incredibly comfortable for such statement shoes. This one time my persistence paid off, because I found them after they had completely sold out and for a fraction of the price, praise the eBay gods.
I am currently in Nairobi for a couple of weeks, hope to get some content while here. Have a lovely day!!!
