How do you make it through hot summer days? Me? I rely heavily on maxi dresses on these swampy-type-days. I took a vacation to the lake last week, and my first instinct, when I started packing, was “I don’t have lake vacation dresses!” With the dilemma at hand, I did what any normal woman would do, I made a mad dash to Zara and, to my delight, found this perfect maxi denim dress. Maxi dress to me are synonyms to freedom in the summer. In the past, I have owned every maxi dress imaginable, silk, chiffon, cotton et cetera, but this Zara denim maxi dress was a first and made for chic summer dressing.

Oh and please excuse me for not introducing these Isabel Marant slides aka blinged out Birkenstocks, since I lived in them in my aforementioned lake vacation. I like saying “lake vacation” is that a thing like “beach getaway?” When I first saw these Isabel Marant slides I concluded it was wise not to pay that much for blinged-out birks, but then the sales hit, and I caved. Got them at a great price on Net-a-porter.

After we shot this look, I kept asking myself if the look worked, but judging from my mug, I was comfortable, so that means it worked for me. Guys, I’m now on the hunt for maxi dresses, lots and lots of maxi dresses to wear with these western Isabel Marant slides. Have a good night darlings I’m in the midst of some online sale hunting tonight.
